As the scope of work for this pretty Greek Revival-style pool house in Western Massachusetts progressed, it exposed our client’s need for additional living quarters. The project evolved from a simple open-air structure to a small multi-use guest house — a low-maintenance, indoor/outdoor, four-season space. The top concern - that the pool house and furnishings complement the adjacent pool as well as the stunning natural setting. Starting with easy-care faux wood ceramic flooring as a neutral base, ship-lap paneling was added for warmth and texture along with practical indoor/outdoor fabrics. Pool-hued glass tiles and an oversized porthole mirror add interesting scale to the bathroom. The changing area has ample storage for towels and wooden blinds for privacy.
