Cheerful and colorful describes the scheme of this updated and re-imagined whole-house project.  Despite the cottage’s 'original’ condition, our clients jumped at the chance to buy it - a downtown location in the middle of a small New England college town. A top to bottom refit, while retaining the original character and style of the house helps it function optimally now as a guest house. Easy-care finishes that stand up to multiple comings and goings made the most sense: good quality painted pieces in bright colors, durable fabrics, painted floors and simple window treatments keep the feel young and happy.  The color choices create maximum visual flow throughout the cottage, serving to both expand the space visually and allow for superior functionality. Furnishings, accessories and bedding can be moved or used interchangeably, yet still maintain the scheme.
